Older ONS series: Milk: Pasteurised, per pint (ended January 2025)
Before the shopping prices tool, ONS published a separate average price for milk as part of the RPI. That series ran from January 1971 to January 2025 and is no longer updated. It measured a slightly different item ("Milk: Pasteurised, per pint"), was published in pence and was collected differently, so it is shown separately and should not be joined to the new figures above.
5p in January 1971; 65p in January 2025, when the series ended.
