Older ONS series: Draught lager, per pint (ended January 2025)
Before the shopping prices tool, ONS published a separate average price for a pint of lager as part of the RPI. That series ran from February 1987 to January 2025 and is no longer updated. It measured a slightly different item ("Draught lager, per pint"), was published in pence and was collected differently, so it is shown separately and should not be joined to the new figures above.
92p in February 1987; 483p in January 2025, when the series ended.
