Older ONS series: Eggs: Large, free range, per dozen (ended January 2022)
Before the shopping prices tool, ONS published a separate average price for eggs as part of the RPI. That series ran from February 2009 to January 2022 and is no longer updated. It measured a slightly different item ("Eggs: Large, free range, per dozen"), was published in pence and was collected differently, so it is shown separately and should not be joined to the new figures above.
290p in February 2009; 222p in January 2022, when the series ended.
